Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. she is the current president and owner-controller of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a California born Buss grew up in an upper class family. Their father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the proprietor of the Lakers as well as other sports companies. When her parents broke up in 1972 she felt that they'd abandoned her. In 1972, at age 19 she started working in the family business. Then she founded the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. Her first role was vice-president of the Lakers before taking on the role of President of the Great Western Forum. Buss' father died in 2013, and the Lakers were acquired by her as well as five of her siblings via the trust. Every sibling was entitled to an equal number of votes. Buss assumed the role of the president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also part-owner of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
